Trade Union Affiliation

Embargoed! recognises the important work of the Trade Union Movement, who not only campaign for their members’ rights, but also have a long history of standing up to international oppression. From fighting apartheid in South Africa to supporting Palestinian and Cuban Solidarity campaigns, trade unions play an integral role in raising awareness and helping to end injustice.

We are keen to establish a relationship with your trade union, both local branches and national organisations. Ordinary working people just like you are discriminated in North Cyprus because of their ethnic background and the fact they live in North Cyprus. Many were not even born when the events of 1974 happened, yet they are still condemned to apartheid conditions in their own homeland, denied everyday opportunities, from playing a friendly football match to trading directly with the rest of the world simply because they do not give up their rights as a politically equal community in Cyprus. Help us fight this injustice.
