Call for testimony from Turkish Cypriots that suffered ethnic cleansing between 1955-1974

A young Leeds student is currently working on a new project to highlight the ethnic cleansing suffered by Turkish Cypriots between 1955-1974. Taking the form of a website, the project will gather together eyewitness testimony and visual images from that period to help the wider world understand the tragic past of Turkish Cypriots.
Levent Akbulut, from the University of Leeds, is currently gathering information for the new website, www.cypriotgenocide.org. Mr. Akbulut says he is dedicating his website “To the Turkish Cypriots who were massacred between 1955-1974, all those who lost their homes, who fled, lost their identity”. He would like to hear from anyone that can provide him with photos, pictures, newspaper articles, and personal stories directly related to the events between 1955-1974. Anyone wishing to contribute should email him on: admin@cypriotgenocide.org
