Embargoed! response to the ECJ's Orams Ruling - 28 April 2009

It is a very sad day for the Orams and all Turkish Cypriots. It is difficult for anyone connected with North Cyprus to have any faith left in the EU given its continued biased approach as evidenced by this politically charged judgment, which ignores the rights and needs of one side while favouring the other. A scenario which has been played out since 2004. However, this it not the time for knee-jerk reactions from either side which will damage the balance of the ongoing talks. Embargoed! will be taking stock of what the options are before making any further comment.
