As March approaches, we are gearing up for a significant event to voice our stance on the presence of the United Nations in Cyprus. For 60 years, the UN has maintained a presence in Cyprus, and it’s time to remind the world that the situation needs reevaluation.
We, the BTCA/Embargoed, cordially invite you to join us in a peaceful protest outside the offices of the UN in London and Parliament Square. Our mission is clear: it’s time for the UN to leave Cyprus.
The presence of the UN in Cyprus has been a contentious issue, and after 60 years, we believe it’s time for a change. As the UN mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), known as MONUSCO, prepares to leave after 25 years by the end of 2024, we are reminded of the necessity for reassessment and reconsideration of the UN’s role in Cyprus.
The March for Sovereignty aims to draw attention to the prolonged presence of the UN in Cyprus and advocate for its departure. It’s an opportunity for us to stand united and amplify our voices to the world.
